Microsoft And OpenAI Are Developing A ChatGPT-Powered Version Of Bing To Compete With Google

Microsoft has announced the release of its search engine Bing, powered by an upgraded version of the same artificial intelligence system that powers chatbot ChatGPT. As it introduces the product alongside new AI-enhanced features for its Edge browser, the company promises a new experience for exploring the web and obtaining information online.

Microsoft claims to have developed a new web browsing experience utilizing conversational AI. Like ChatGPT, users may chat with Bing to ask queries and get responses.

Bing now functions similarly to ChatGPT, but it can provide more information:

The Bing chat feature can also perform a variety of fun tricks that people have come to expect from ChatGPT, the OpenAI chatbot that has been available since late November. People will undoubtedly compare it to Bing’s new chatbot.

“It’s a new day in search,” Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella said at the product launch event. The paradigm for web search hasn’t changed in decades, according to Nadella, but AI can deliver information more fluidly and quickly than traditional methods.

“The race begins today, and we’re going to move quickly,” Nadella said. “Most importantly, we want to have a lot of fun innovating in search again because the time has come.”

Even though some technological advancements may initially seem thrilling, their effects on society are frequently difficult to observe. However, something is bound to attract attention when improvements are made in a field we all frequently use, like internet search, which is significant.

This is the case with the most recent iteration of Microsoft’s Bing search engine, which now utilizes artificial intelligence to speed up search results. This is made possible by connecting with the extremely popular ChatGPT content-generating tool.

When you type in a question, the new version of Bing can give you an easily understandable overview of all the material written in basic English or one of more than 140 other languages rather than just returning a list of links to potentially relevant websites.

Is ChatGPT and Bing chat are same?

The new Bing conversation, which is more sophisticated than ChatGPT, is described by Microsoft as “a new, next-generation OpenAI large language model.” There are other factors to consider because the intention is to combine this with Bing search.

For instance, Bing’s ChatGPT alternative is expected to be significantly faster than ChatGPT while going above and beyond GPT-3.5 in several ways. The Prometheus approach, used by Microsoft, provides up-to-date, secure results for Bing’s enormous user base.

Additional AI Options:

There are numerous AI writing tools available now, however, the most effective ones appear to rely on OpenAI’s ChatGPT or GPT-3. Google didn’t doze off while driving and will soon add Bard AI to Google Search. This means that the contest to see which AI-powered search engine is the most accurate, pertinent, and up-to-date has not yet been determined.

The future of search is AI-powered, regardless of the victorious firm. Hopefully, we’ll get to see Google’s rival soon enough.

Bing:

Additionally, Microsoft is beginning a restricted trial of the service before it becomes available to millions more people. Additionally, while using the experience doesn’t require the improved Edge browser, several elements, including the interactive chat capabilities, are only accessible with it.

The results of the data summary are not guaranteed to be entirely accurate in this early edition, much like with ChatGPT—there may still be mistakes.

But once you start using it, it’s obvious that this AI-powered Bing experience actually gives the appearance that computers are becoming smarter. In other words, they comprehend your intentions rather than just the words you entered.
